Editing Transcripts
Transcripts of any video transcript--whether AI- or Human-generated can easily be edited within CUBE365. To edit a transcript simply click on the [Edit Transcript] button to the right of the video transcript search field. Place your cursor at the point of the transcript you want to edit and click.
In addition to fixing typos, punctuation and proper nouns, you can also address structural issues/mistakes in the transcript--e.g., speaker separation and identification, paragraph breaks and problems/inconsistencies in the length of Closed Caption, or CC, 'fragments' (i.e., the number of words appearing at one time on the video screen). To see the options you have simply click on a CC fragment and note the pop-up menu; then use your cursor to hover over the menu to see an explanation for the option and the keyboard shortcut to save time in the future for common tasks:
Note that if a certain word (or name) needs editing more than once in a transcript, you have the option to do a 'bulk' edit by typing in the erroneous spelling, clicking the [...] button next to the search bar, then typing the correct spelling and clicking the [Replace All]--like this:
Don't forget to click the [Save Edits] button before you exit the Editor page or you changes will be lost!
